Simphiwe Ndzube creates vivid canvases that imagine fantastical worlds in rich colour and detail. In the Silence of the Drum, an edition of 55, portrays a surrealist inspired composition typical of Ndzube's signature style. The edition is screen printed in 10 colours using three special effects — zinc on the left waveboard, solar gold on the islands and magenta metallic on the horse and the face. Each one is signed, dated, and numbered.
