For over a decade, Kevin Francis Gray has created compelling marble sculpture. The Breakdown Work Studies is a sculpture series of expressive heads, part of the artist’s most recent body of work, The Breakdown Works. Each sculpture in the series is unique. Breakdown Work Study #3 (Marquina) is hand-carved from Marquina marble. The work is hand-polished and presented on a bronze pole set in a base of raw Carrara marble. Both marbles are sourced from Pietrasanta, Italy.
